So it’s really interesting now with the developments in camera technology.

For years and years, I’ve been asked how to create the ‘film’ look on video. What filters to use or what to do in post production.

I’ve always thought that the film look was about the quality of the images and that good lighting was what made the difference.

The care that you take when shooting film, when it’s costing so much to run the camera means you take extraordinary care with each shot.

But the recent introduction of 35mm format DSLRs has enabled us to create images that exactly recreate the shallow depth of field of the 35mm film camera
